Your student website is the best place to access your study tools, get important updates from Ara and find information about all the support services available to you.

Where do I park?
Our Christchurch campuses have carparking for students to use, as well as additional public parking close by.
City campus Christchurch has pay and display carparking areas for $2.00 per hour. Our Woolston campus Christchurch has limited free parking.
To be able to use these parks you need to have the correct student parking authority sticker displayed on your windscreen. You can get your student parking authority at Security in the Rakaia Centre at our City campus Christchurch or in the Student Services Building at Woolston campus Christchurch.
How do I get my student ID?
At our City campus Christchurch, on your first day, take your student ID number to the Security Office in the Rakaia Centre and ask for a student ID card. If you are at our Woolston campus Christchurch, go to the main desk in the Student Services Building.
Staff will verify that you are enrolled, take your photo and provide you with your ID card. If you want access to the 24 hour computing suite at the City campus Christchurch, you need to ask to get this added.
How do I get my timetable?
You can access your timetable via the Ara Student Portal using the login details provided in your offer letter or via email. You can also ask for your timetable at the Admissions and Enrolments counter, your department reception on campus, or request it by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 0800 24 24 76.
How do I find my way around?
We have handy campus locations that have all the facilities available for students.
If you don't know where the room you need is, then here's a tip: the letter is the building you should be in, the first number is the level you need to be on and the last part is the room number you look for on that level.
What food services are there?
There are many great cafes at our City campus Christchurch, including Cafe X, Compass Cafe, The Pantry and Visions restaurant. There is also a food court and several other cafes opposite the campus or within a five minute walk, like Christchurch famous cafe's Black Betty and C1.
The DeliMarche cafe at our Woolston campus Christchurch is in the Student Services Building. There are other food venues close by.
There are also plenty of indoor and outdoor places at both campuses where you can sit and eat if you choose to bring your own food.
Where do I get my books?
At our City campus Christchurch we have an onsite bookstore called Bennetts in the CPSA Building.
You can purchase all the books from the list provided in your enrolment pack from this store as well as all your stationery. You'll also receive additional course guides in class from your tutors.
Bennetts also have an online bookstore where you can make your purchases - check it out.
Ara has many activities and events at our campuses. Head along to meet some people and have fun.
At the beginning of each semester we host Welcome Month where you can take part in the events and get free lunch. On Campus Life you'll also find Christchurch events listed.
